Part III: A Guitar is Born

In a time-saving maneuver, the neck and the bridge are glued to the body simultaneously with a pair of trusty shop clamps. |  |

The frets are leveled out with the aid of sandpaper. |  |
 | Owen "re-crowns" the frets, using a file to make sure their edges are nice and rounded, since they were leveled out by the sandpaper in the previous step. |
The frets are "de-burred", meaning that any odd hooks or snags in the metal are removed, again with a file. |  |
 | The frets are polished. |
Owen makes sure that the strings are set to their proper height above the fretboard. |  |
